Akshatha, I loved this essay! 💛 You’ve put into words something I’ve often felt but never articulated, contradictions really do make characters come alive. Brooklyn 99 is my boyfriend’s absolute favorite show, and I only watched it because of him. Now I see it as a writing masterclass too. This perspective will definitely change how I approach my own characters.

What I've learnt is Similar quirk characters cannot cope up or share the same screen I feel, for example Jake peralta and Michael Scott from office, some tweaking is needed for both to appear on same screen or maybe I'm overthinking it.
